Children's Services

One helping hand can change everything for our kids

We envision resilient children and families navigating through life successfully

Head Start is a launchpad for future leaders and strong communities. We prepare children and their families to succeed in school and in life, and provide prenatal support as well as affordable childcare so that parents can focus on their education and careers. This catalyzes growth in rural, urban, and suburban communities throughout the U.S.

Eligible low-income families – including children from birth to five years old and pregnant women – are welcome to participate in our services at little or no cost.

  • Developmentally appropriate education for all age groups
  • Nutritious meals served daily
  • Family services to support success

Jenny's Story

“Before ALFP, I didn’t know how to care for my health

or my baby’s health. The program helped me with

medical appointments, learning how to advocate for

myself and my baby, and even helped me get a job in

the community. I am so grateful to my case manager

because now I have someone I can talk to about my

challenges, and I have a lot of support.”
